I enjoy this debate, Lela. Thank you for your comments. The stated goal of this post is to discuss the Preamble and the goals of the Constitution. I believe in a few of these comments you are bypassing the goals of the Constitution and looking at the application of corrupt people in positions of authority. Application of law is different than the stated details of a law. The Constitution allows for executive mandates. Our presidents, at times, have exercised that authority to put into place a requirement in time of need - a mask mandate, for example. I do not believe I'm in a state of denial. I believe that a discussion of Constitutionality and application of law are two different elements.
